WELCOME TO OUR BEAVERS PAGE |
|
Beaver Scouts are young people both girls and boys usually aged between 6 & 8 years old. They belong to the first and youngest section in the Scouting movement. Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday. Between the age of 8 and 8 1/2 years old Beaver Scouts can move on to the next section in the Scouting movement which is Cub Scouts. Beaver Scouts are easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirt, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games and going out on visits. They usually meet together once a week in Beaver Scout colony. |

About our Colony
We are part of 4th Willenhall Scout Group and enjoy many activities including handicrafts, games and visits. We also like to join up with other Beaver colonies in our district for trips, visits and fun & games. In our colony at the moment we currently have 12 Beaver Scouts. So far this year our Beavers have been on a District Sleepover at our local campsite and have been pond dipping & tracking as part of their badge work. Our Colony meets once a week at our group HQ.
For More Information about our colony telephone us on the number at the bottom of this page or email the leader using the Beaver email address on the contact us page of our website. |

Activity & Staged Badges
Activity Badges in the Beaver section provide an opportunity to reward a young person who has taken part in an activity over a period of time. They should raise interest and extend a young person’s skills throughout their time in the Beaver section. There are 12 activity badges which range from Adventure to Safety and 6 staged badges which are gained throughout all the sections in the Scout movement. These badges range from Emergency aid to Swimmer and progress in stages according to the ability of the individual person. |
